India has appointed a new Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, who will be responsible for the country’s education system.

Nishank, who is a member of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was appointed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 31, 2019. He replaces Prakash Javadekar, who held the post since 2014.

Nishank is a former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and has served as a Member of Parliament from the Haridwar constituency since 2009. He has also served as the Minister of Human Resource Development in the Government of Uttarakhand.

Nishank has a long history of involvement in education. He has been a member of the National Advisory Council on Education, and has also served as the Chairman of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Nishank has also been involved in the development of several educational initiatives, including the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which seeks to reform India’s education system.

Nishank has also been a vocal advocate for the use of technology in education, and has been involved in the development of several initiatives to promote the use of technology in classrooms.

Nishank’s appointment comes at a time when India is facing several challenges in the education sector. The country has one of the lowest literacy rates in the world, and the quality of education in many parts of the country is far below the standards of developed countries.

Nishank has his work cut out for him, and it remains to be seen how he will tackle the challenges facing India’s education system. However, his appointment is a positive step towards improving the quality of education in India.
